ALVIN!!!! Part 2

If you run a blog and check your visitor logs, you sometimes see some interesting things. Friday, for instance. I saw lots and lots of visits to a page I wrote back in December about everyone's favorite U.S. District Judge, Alvin K. Hellerstein.

Back on Christmas Eve, I wrote that I was not impressed with Alvin's ruling about spammers. Seems a spammer entered a guilty plea. For those that don't understand that, what that means is the spammer said he did it. He admitted it.

Well, it seems that wasn't good enough for Alvin. He rejected the guilty plea. I also mentioned that Alvin was the same judge that said it was okay for folks to sue the airlines for the 9/11 attacks. And that's the mentality that I just don't understand: it's the airlines fault? People like that ought to have the hoses turned on them.

Anyway, I got lots of hits on that page. And that confused me. Then it hit me: Alvin must have done something stupid again.

The only thing I see is that ruling the other day where Alvin said the government has to release more pictures from Abu Graib. But that was several days ago. Are people just now finding out about it? Too bad. The Jawa Report had a write-up on Alvin's ruling back on May 27. Some folks need more cowbell Jawa.

Anyway, some folks were just searching for sites that mentioned Alvin, others were looking for an address for him.

Here's a hint: Don't go see him in person. He's a busy man. But you can find his phone number here. I'm sure he'd be glad to hear from you.
