ReplyDeleteWhile in college (at Ga. Southern), we utilized a friend's rural rental house as a party shack. Going outside to rapidly purge oneself of excess alcohol came to be known as "eating the ivy", as one or two folks passed out face down in the ivy and had to be helped to their feet. Thankfully, it was English ivy, not poison ivy. Some folks seemed to make repeat visits (on different party nights).
