Catfish drop finale, end 2-6 road trip

The Columbus Catfish were unable to earn a split with the Lexington Legends (Astros) Wednesday night.

The Catfish only allowed 4 hits by Lexington batters, but that was enough as they blanked the Catfish 2-0. The final hit by Lexington was a 2-run homer by Lexington's Kyle Miller that accounted for all the scoring.

Wednesday night's loss spoiled the effort of Columbus starter Jesse Darcy, who blanked the Legends for six innings on three hits and six strikeouts.

Reliever Joshua Johnson (3-7) got the first two Legends in the bottom of the seventh. But he walked Maxwell Sapp, and Miller followed with his second homer of the season.
The Catfish open a 8-game home stand Friday.
