Doctors are still baffled why there's nothing wrong with me

Had a doctor's appointment today. I should say "another doctor's appointment."

The first was three weeks ago, because of a severe cold. Drugs were the result. Not really good drugs, but drugs nonetheless.

The second two weeks ago, and was for them to run some tests.

Then, a week ago, I had the follow-up where the doctor went over all the results of the test. And the results were just fine. The tests showed nothing was wrong with me. I'm in great health. Though, you wouldn't believe it if you looked at me. Because I'm old. And overweight. But healthy as a young, fit man. They can't figure out why.

Still, there are a couple of symptoms that I'm experiencing -- I also had them back in 2005, and that caused a little scare; everything turned out okay, of course. But still, similar symptoms going on now, so they need to check.

My doctor referred me to the same doctor he sent me to nearly five years ago. That was today's appointment. Only, that doctor referred me to another doctor. And that appointment is in a couple of weeks.

So, later this month, I'll see doctor number three, and he'll possibly schedule a procedure. Then, I'll go back to doctor number two. He'll do whatever it is he's going to do, then send me back to doctor number one.

Unless doctor number three can think of a doctor number four to get a piece of the action.

I wonder what all I'd be going through if there was something wrong with me.

Maybe you should take up smoking. It's never too late to give them a reason to worry even more...

  2. Maybe I should live without a net. Worked for Karl Wallenda. For 73 years, 59 days. Then he dropped dead. In that order.

  3. Okay - Karl Wallenda. That's a joke...right?

Good luck with this. We'll hope that "healthy as a young, fit man" is the entire story.

  4. Yeah, the Wallenda crack was a really, really bad joke.

I remember when the Braves used to have him perform at games. It was really sad to hear about his fall way back then.

And thank you for the well wishes. I do appreciate it.
