S...I'm glad Lulu escaped and found a good home. She looks sassy in that picture!<br><br>When I was about 9, one of my sisters bought a dozen colored baby chicks for me at Easter. They were so cute! A part of the backyard was fenced off and I took care of them. One day when I was inside their area, I was spurred by one of them in the head, for no good reason! They started gradually disappearing--no, they didn't run away! The last one was a beautiful rooster who was almost an irredescent. shiny, black rooster with a deep red comb. I'm sure I gave him a name but I can't remember. I'm also sure I pled for his life to no avail. I almost seem to remember refusing to eat him for Sunday dinner. I never got any more chicks but I still have some of the roosters long black tail feathers somewhere. I suspect that Lulu on some level knows she has been given a second chance.<br><br>Up here we had a cow that escaped from a truck going to...you know...The cow had everyone stumped and shaking their heads.... hid in the woods.... fought with animal rescue and police, was the top news story for about a week... in the end she was caught and someone bought her and now she is living out her days on some farm...
