(At the time, Adams had no reason to assume that Shada would ever be seen by anybody.) And FWIW, Dirk Gently was turned into a somewhat good TV show (all of 4 episodes, available on Amazon streaming), although it had to abandon the trapped couch that made the story so much fun.<br><br>Frankly, I enjoy Tom Baker's Doctor, but would be hard pressed to name truly great stories that featured him.
