Catfish sweep Hagerstown

For 9-1/2 innings, the Columbus Catfish were either behind or tied with the Hagerstown Suns (Nationals).

But in the bottom of the 9th, C Stephen Vogt gave the Catfish their first lead when he blasted the game-winning home run over the clubhouse roof beyond right field.

The 5-4 gave the Catfish a sweep of Hagerstown, their 4th win in a row, and their 13th win in 17 games.

The Columbus Catfish are ending the season on a roll.

They won their 12th game in 16 tries this evening, beating the Hagerstown Suns (Nationals), 3-0. It's their 3rd in the series with Hagerstown. A win Monday gives the Catfish a 4-game sweep.

Catfish return to winning ways

Missed a couple of nights in the ball park earlier this week because of a stomach flu.

Then, missed the first two games -- Friday and Saturday night -- for some events involving family.

The Columbus Catfish didn't miss me a bit. They won both Friday and Saturday night, 3-2 and 11-8.
