I've really enjoyed my new MacBook.
Until it broke.
Seems something caused it to not recognize the hard drive.
And, with no hard drive, the computer won't do much.
So, at lunch (I'm eating a sandwich now), I took the MacBook by the Apple Authorized Repair Center in Columbus. And they are shipping it off to the MacBook hospital.
Not sure if it's getting a face-lift, a transplant, or what. But it should be back by the end of the week.
So, for now, I am operating on my old Dell notebook.
I miss my MacBook already. But this old Dell ... well, it's dependable. And I don't know of a better testimonial to give about any computer.
I don't know what's going on with your site, maybe it misses your Macbook too, but half the time it locks up the system I'm on.
ReplyDeleteSay, that is odd. I'd like to follow up with you later, if that's okay.
ReplyDeleteditto here...and I'm on IE and XP.
ReplyDeleteI have been having that problem (site locking up) for a long time, but I just figured it was my old computer. Perhaps not.
ReplyDeleteI made a couple of changes yesterday (the 9th). Is it still happening?
ReplyDeleteIt's better, but something is still off. And I am on my laptop which is the good computer.
ReplyDeleteThe page (going to Basil's Blog) takes many seconds to load. Click on it and wait and wait and wait (blank white IE screeen with that blue stripe at top) Then lickety split, everything comes onscreen.
When going to and from comments, the screen doesn't go white, but there is significant lag time.
I only have one browser window open right now, so I don't know if it's still affecting the others. Someone else can chime in.
Oops... that lag time was 31 seconds.
ReplyDeleteLag time is about 10 seconds.
ReplyDeleteStill significant lag time. And when trying to scroll down, the little hour glass comes up, the blue stripe at the top says "not responding" for many seconds. Then lickety split...eveything's ok.
ReplyDeleteThings seem to be loading faster.
ReplyDeleteIt's better here, too.
