Wait until his dad finds out it's available in white

Jesse Jackson, Jr. -- living proof that Chicago is full of idiots -- says that the iPad kills jobs. Not Steve Jobs. Employment jobs.
(The iPad is ) probably responsible for eliminating thousands of American jobs. Now Borders is closing stores because, why do you need to go to Borders anymore? Why do you need to go to Barnes & Noble? Buy an iPad and download your newspaper, download your book, download your magazine.
When his dad, noted racist scam artist Jesse Jackson, finds out that the iPad comes in white things will really get nasty.

But, in fairness, Jesse Jackson, Jr. is right. The iPad does kill jobs. And we need to put a stop to it now!

But, we don't need to focus on the iPad alone. We should also be wary of other technologies that eliminate jobs.

Like the automobile. Think of all the livery stables that could shut down if this whole automobile thing catches on. And blacksmiths. How many blacksmiths are able to get through the lean times because of the horseshoe trade? They may have to shut down, too.

The aeroplane. If people start using these flying machines to travel, the stagecoach could go the way of the dinosaur. Then what would Wells Fargo do? Go into banking?

Guns. This one item alone could shout down the spear making industry.

Printing press. Just the thought of this thing catching on and putting all those scribes out of work .

Television. People might stay home instead of going to a vaudeville or burlesque show. What will mediocre comedians do? And what will strippers do? It could be the end of an industry.

Yes, it's horrible all the jobs that will be lost because of these new-fangled devices. We must nip this in the bud.

Let's follow Jesse Jackson, Jr's lead. Let's stop with the iPad.

In fact, you can send your iPad to me. That'll save hundreds, nay, thousands of jobs.

Do our part, America.

AARP, Obamacare, and karma

Remember when Obamacare was being considered by the Congress? And AARP was supporting it? And all the supporters said how much it would make everything better and how it would get prices under control and it would be just so awesome?

Well, now AARP has sent information to its employees saying that their insurance was going up ... because of Obamacare:
In an e-mail to employees, AARP says health care premiums will increase by 8 percent to 13 percent next year because of rapidly rising medical costs.

And AARP adds that it's changing copayments and deductibles to avoid a 40 percent tax on high-cost health plans that takes effect in 2018 under the law. ... Shifting costs to employees lowers the value of a health care plan and acts like an escape hatch from the tax.
To be honest, I don't mind those that supported Obamacare getting bit in the ass by Obamacare -- they are such big asses, after all.

I like laughing at stupid people. It's fun.

Oh, and AARP? Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Oh, look! Another idiot has a computer. Isn't that cute!

Every so often, you run across total nutcases on them Internets. Then, every so often, a nutcase runs across you.

Friday night, a little before 9 o'clock, a new comment appeared in the moderation queue. I was at a football game, so I gave it a quick look when the notification arrived. It was a long rambling thing that appeared to be from someone who was mixing his medications again. I decided it could wait until I got back from the game.

When I got back, a little after midnight (it was an away game), I looked in detail at the comment. And I discovered that my first impression was probably correct.

Probably. But not definitely. Because he might not have been mixing his meds. He may have never been properly diagnosed and never was taking the meds he so desperately needs.

Here is the post he left a comment on. The comment isn't there, but that's the post he wanted to leave me a message about. Go ahead and click it if you like. It's the one I wrote about a new spam feature that Google added to their Blogger platform. Let me sum up: Google added spam filters to Blogger, and it's about time. Yep, that pretty much sums it up.

Only, this clown seems to think that I'm running Google. Or their Blogger division. Or maybe the Spam Filter division. Or something. Who knows what he thinks.

Here's what he wrote:
You know, this is a lie. The spam filter is a farce. I'm usually a nice guy and easy to get along with, but this is a joke, an absolute joke.

Here's a link to what you claim isn't supposed to be happening:

http://www.blogger.com/comment-spam.g?blogID=21219785

Only Blogger can access this because it's my spam box. In in there are basically 365 spam comments from the same nutcase since Augusts 26th.

Some of them threaten my life.

It is NOT that much trouble to allow me to block IP addresses. I am an adult. I demand the capability to do this with idiots like this just as newspaper editors have the right not to publish a letter to the editor.

I am so very pissed about this. I received over 50 of these comments today alone!

I will hound you about this. I am nobody to you but I will run a campaign about this if you do not do something about this immediately.

Apply the golden rule,. What would YOU do if this were you?

I am so thoropughly frustrated about this.

Get with it.
Here's his Google/Blogger user profile page.

He's been blogging since July 2005 (that's almost as long as I have). And he still thinks it's a good idea to call someone a liar in the first sentence.

Then, he says the spam filter isn't working ... then tries to prove it by pointing to 365 items in his spam filter! Seems it worked 365 times, based on the information he provided.

Then, he says he's going to hound me unless I do something about the situation. Like I'm in charge of the spam filter, which, by the way, sucks because it works or something.

Anyway, you read what he wrote. And you have a link to his profile page. Which contains his email address, if you want to write him and offer encouragement or something.

Me? I'm going to grant his request. I will do something about the situation. I just posted his comment (which is in the spam queue) so everyone could see it. And see what an idiot he is. That ought to make him happy.

One final thought: based on what he wrote in the comment and the information on his profile page, I'm guessing that he voted for Obama. Because that's what idiots do. That and leave idiotic comments that the spam filters catch.

Vote for the MILF

No, this is not an appeal to urge you to vote for McCain/Palin.

Although you should.

Rather, it's about the Website VoteForTheMILF.com, which some said was a domain owned by JohnMcCain.com.

It wasn't. And isn't. Owned by the McCain campaign, that is.

For the uninitiated, a "MILF" is a term popularized by the movie, American Pie. It means, "mom I'd like to ..." well, go here if you really must know ... but I suspect you get it by now.

Anyway, GovGap.com claims that the McCain campaign owns the domain name.

Got pictures, screenshots, and everything.

And plenty of left-wingers jumped all over it.

The Washington Post, Crooks and Liars, FireDogLake, and others.

Of course, they're wrong.

The whole thing was a prank. Rial F. Sloan of Chattanooga, who runs n00tz.com, confesses all.

Personally, I thought it was hilarious.

If the McCain camp had registered it, I think it would have been a good move; they'd have kept it out of the hands of evil-doers. You know. Democrats.

But the McCain camp didn't do it. Some geeky guy in Chattanooga did it.

And the left fell for it. Hook. Line. Sinker.

Silly hippies.
