Frank J., the genius behind IMAO, is also the brains behind the Alliance. And it's been a win-win situation for members of the Alliance, including this little blog. The exposure we've received as a member of the Alliance has been one of the main reasons we've had the success we've had. And, yes, I'm saying we've had success. You see, I never dreamed we'd have more than a handful of readers and certainly never more than a few other blogs link to us.
And many, many blogs have linked to us, bringing many, many readers to us. Sure, we don't have as many readers as lots of blogs, but the huge number of links ensures that we get a steady stream. Well, that and people using Google and Yahoo! to search for naked pictures of Jamie Lynn Spears.
But, while I am certainly appreciative of the many, many blogs who link to us, I'm also very grateful of the many blogs who have us on their BlogRoll. Those, above all else, are responsible for making sure we are visible to folks and have put us, at least for now, in the Top 100 of TTLB Ecosystem.
But despite my appreciation of the many who have added us to their BlogRoll, the blog that kept me coming back again and again, IMAO, has linked to us on occasion, but has not added us to their BlogRoll. And I really wished Frank J. would add us.
But he hasn't. And I wasn't sure why. Maybe he's been too busy. After all, he's not added The Flying SpaceMonkey Chronicles ... and SpaceMonkey blogs on IMAO! Plus, he has a link to Dave Barry's old blog that's not been updated since March 2004. So maybe Frank J. is too busy to keep his BlogRoll updated.
But, then again, he has added others. So, maybe there's another reason. Perhaps he doesn't think we have a good enough blog. Perhaps so. And perhaps he's right.
But, perhaps ... just perhaps ... it's something else.

A Plan To Destroy America
There is an e-mail making the rounds on the Internet that claims to be an account of a speech by former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm. I'm not a huge fan of these kind of e-mails. When they arrive, I usually just delete then ... unless my spam-catcher has already deleted it. And, yes, they are usually spam, or what I consider spam, because they are usually unsolicited, but worse, just plain wrong.
A lot of these spam e-mails are misquotes, or false attributions, or statements made out of context, or something like that. And, if the mood strikes me, I'll research the matter and write back telling the sender just where they went wrong.
Lots of folks don't like that. In fact, they dislike it almost as much as I dislike getting spam. And they'll usually drop me from their spam listing. Which suits me just fine.
However, every now and then, one arrives that isn't full of inaccuracies. Such is the case of the e-mail that gives an account of Governor Lamm's speech of a year-and-a-half ago. Snopes, a very reliable (but not 100% accurate) source of debunking Urban Legends and spam, contacted Governor Lamm recently and confirmed the accuracy of the e-mail. Lamm went so far as to offer a revised version of his speech. The e-mail that's making the rounds and the story around it can be found on the Snopes site here.

Catfish 6, Rome 3
The Catfish bats came alive again tonight as they pounded out 11 hits on the way to a 6-3 win over the Rome Braves. All but one of the Catfish starters had a base hit.Both our players, Dan Batz and Lucas May had base hits. Dan also scored a run and knocked in the go-ahead run.
Tonight's middle reliever for the Catfish was Steve Nelson, who sat out last season with an injury. He returns to Columbus, having played in 2003 for the South Georgia Waves, as the Catfish were then known.
The wife and I will miss tomorrow night's game since we both have to work. But we'll catch the Sunday game as the first half of the season ends.
