Super Freak

When I saw this, I just couldn't resist.

I'm driving to work the other day, and got behind a truck.

Lee County, Alabama tag on the vehicle. That's north Phenix City, Smith's Station, Opelika, Auburn, or an unincorporated area of the county that contains those cities and towns. (Yes, Phenix City is primarily Russell County, but it extends into Lee County.)

Just so you can tell what it is you're seeing, it's an old truck, with a CB antenna on the toolbox, a "3" (Dale Earnhardt) above the right tail light, an "8" (Dale Earnhardt, Jr.) above the left tail light, a torn half of the flag of the Army of Northern Virginia (some call it the Confederate Flag, or the Confederate Battle Flag; some incorrectly call it the "Stars and Bars" ... which was an entirely different flag). Oh, and "Can't Touch This" in block letters on the bumper.

I knew I wanted a picture of it. But I wasn't sure what to do with it.

So, I'm asking you to help me out.

Can you caption this thing?

  3. [...] Luigi proudly replied, “I’m a-gonna go and a-get-a her back.” A classic groaner. Here’s another that isn’t true (see the end), but remains funny: Coincidence? Regardless of your political persuasion, this is funny Many will recall that on July 8, 1947, witnesses claimed that an unidentified object with five aliens aboard crashed onto a sheep and cattle ranch just outside Roswell , New Mexico. This is a well-known incident that many say has long been covered up by the U.S. Air Force and the federal government. However, what you may NOT know is that in the month of March 1948, exactly nine months after that historic day, the following people were born: Albert Arnold Gore, Jr. Hillary Rodham ( Clinton ) John F. Kerry William Jefferson Clinton Howard Dean Nancy Pelosi Dianne Feinstein Charles E. Schumer Barbara Boxer See what happens when aliens breed with sheep? This piece of information may clear up a lot of things. but, as promised see the response from the sender’s sister: Well, actually … Albert Arnold Gore, Jr. - March 31, 1948 (right year at least …) Hillary Rodham ( Clinton ) - October 26, 1947 (before) John F. Kerry - December 11, 1943 (Well before) William Jefferson Clinton - August 19, 1946 (Well before) Howard Dean - Nov. 17, 1948 (more than 9 months) Nancy Pelosi - March 26, 1940 (WAY off) Dianne Feinstein - June 22, 1933 (WAY off …) Charles E. Schumer - November 23, 1950 (Well after) Barbara Boxer - November 11, 1940 (Way off) But I take the point of the email — belated hee hee on that one I guess ;-( It was just too perfect. Basil has more. I call it, YEEEHAAA! [...]

How about "M C Hammer's first cousin, M T Head, rides the roads in search of intelligent life."

Not nearly as good as the Hillary reference...darn.

  8. I can't come up with a caption because we have a similar truck, STG, in my little town. It has two flags, however. The other ginormous flag has the look of a "Southern Comfort" label and says, "Kick Ass Rock n' Roll" on it.

They troll the local beach and rescue the cars of the pussy-boy college kids that get stuck in the infamous sands of Porpoise Point. Then they steal the girlfriends away from the liberal arts emo boys. "Sweet Home Alabama" is the last thing the poor frat boys hear as the truck roars off.

  10. Billy Bob hasn't yet realized that someone did indeed "touch this", and cut off half his flag. Who would do such a thing? Musta been some Yank, they don't read too good.
