Paper is racist

I read a story that said that some educator-type person said that white paper is racist. And, no, not the concept of a White Paper, a write-up on handling specific issues or problems, but actual paper. That's white.

The stuff you put in photocopiers. The stuff that goes into your printer. The stuff that's in a notebook. The stuff you write on. Actual white paper. Paper that is white in color.

And, no, I'm not making this up. Although, there's no doubt in my mind that Anne O'Connor, who made the claim, is making it up.

The Telegraph reports what O'Connor is advocating:
Children should be provided with paper other than white to drawn on and paints and crayons should come in "the full range of flesh tones", reflecting the diversity of the human race, according to the former teacher.

Finally, staff should be prepared to be economical with the truth when asked by pupils what their favourite colour is and, in the interests of good race relations, answer "black" or "brown".
"Economical with the truth?" Didn't that used to be called "lying?"

Anyway, the crazy O'Conner woman is trying to dress witches in pink (really) and give children green paper to draw on.

And that kinda sums it all up right there. I go to work every day to get green paper. She wants to use green paper for drawing. And she wants your green paper to pay for it.

  1. Print her paycheck on black paper, with black ink. Refuse to make any racist alterations to it.

  2. Back in the day, people of color had to worry about segregation, lynchings, and cross-burnings. But now they have to deal with such horrors as white paper and a limited crayon selection. I feel their pain.

  3. I fully support pink witch costumes, as illustrated in your fine post.

  4. You see how much work I have to go through to find a reason to post pictures of pink witches?

  5. "former teacher"

I'm hoping that means she was fired for her insanity, but I'm guessing she's probably retired with full benefits. And now she's employed as a consultant - hopefully she's like an underwater basket-weaving consultant - kept on hand for a moment's notice of "good advice," but never actually consulted. Thanks again, teacher's unions, for ensuring that whackos like Ms. O'Connor can find and keep jobs at the expense of children's education and the taxpayer's wallet!

Black ink on black paper? That sounds violent for some reason...

  7. It's absurd how totally the left has devalued the word "racism". I was reading a book a week or so ago that mentioned an incident in a southern city in the 1950s and described the town as racist. I kept having to force myself to remember that it was talking about actually destructive attitudes & behavior and not just lesson plans featuring sandwiches (racist!) and white paper.

  8. I cannot think of a single thing I could say to that arrogant shrike that would not be mistaken for a sudden case of Tourette's syndrome. Does she know that there are no actual white people, nor black ones, and that humanity pretty much ranges from sort of a light putty color to about 65% cocoa brown? And that "white" and "black" are, regarding human skin, figures of speech rather than the literal colors? What a pathetic waste of space that moron is. The future of America is in the best of hands.

  9. I think she is mistaken. From wikipedia "White is the color the human eye sees when it looks at light which contains all the wavelengths of the visible spectrum.[1] This light stimulates all three types of color sensitive cone cells in the eye in nearly equal amounts.[22] Substances appear white because their surfaces reflect back most of the light that strikes them and do not absorb some of its colors." So in essence White is the Rainbow, the all inclusive color world she actually desires. Pretty freaky.

  11. In the Marine Corps there are no blacks, no whites, no hispanics, no Asians. Everyone is green!

Some are light green and some are dark green.

  13. Hmmm. I am encouraged by the phrase. "economical with the truth". Perhaps, the leftys will learn what the word 'economics' actually means.

  15. .....the letters on all the white paper is....black....oh sorry, African American....unless it's something written by someone like her, isn't that the important part? Is this really the only thing in the entire world this person feels is important or is she like all liberals, as long as she comes up with nonsense like this, nobody will say she's raaaaaacist.
