Cindy Sheehan is coming to town

Saturday morning. A perfect day to sleep late.

But not this Saturday.

Why is that?

Guess who's coming to town?

Cindy Sheehan.

Read that again.

That piece of garbage, that low-life hero of the Democrats, that attention whore, that ...

I couldn't believe it when I read that Cindy Sheehan is coming to the area. She's going to be at Fort Benning Saturday morning.

I'm looking for ideas.

No, I really don't want to get arrested. Not really.

But I wore my country's uniform. And I know folks that wear this country's uniform. And, yes, Cindy Sheehan's son wore this country's uniform.

But none of it wore it for her to spew her vile. However, because we wore the uniform, she can do exactly that.

But, so can I.

So, if you want to come to the Columbus area, to the main gate at Fort Benning, and give her a very unwelcome greeting ... and an appropriate sendoff ... come join the fun.

And, if you can't make it here, give me some ideas.

Update: She'll be at the gates of Ft. Benning at 10:00 AM Saturday.

Update: Still looking for ideas. Signs, slogans, whatever you got.

  1. Why is SHE going to be at Ft. Benning? I live about 3 hours away. I'd be willing to come down for a counter protest (not wanting to get arrested either - but that woman shouldn't go any where near our military bases!).

Seriously, why on earth is she coming to Ft Benning?

  2. Home of the Infantry Beth, and ... ah, well, that's the only thing I can think off. I really don't care actually. Maybe the humidity will do her in ;)

Hey basil, I wish I had a real zinger for you. I trust you will come up with something, though. I bet her son is really proud of the way she has honored his memory. When someone gives their life for what they believe, the family needs to accept it and move on. Nothing she does will bring him back, so why destroy the memory that remains? Why don't you and The Wife make a sign for me.

  7. Isn't there a heightened security alert at the present time? Don't our soldiers protecting our great nation have an absolute moral obligation to secure our bases and forts? I'm thinking along the lines of water cannon.

Surprisingly enough, Sheehan just doesn't bother me, it's the dregs of society that follow her group around to get the national exposure. Yeah, water cannon, that's the ticket.

  8. My ideas run to the rash and are not presentable enough for print. It'll be interesting to read what happens....

  9. Basil, there was something on the local newa about her being in Montgomery and getting in someone's face after he mentioned Bush and the war. Supposedly some former Viet vets are with her and they got alittle physical with him. Sorry, I didn't see this--it's second hand. I looked at WIAT's web page and couldn't find anything. I hope it rains buckets!

  10. [...] Even the great Basil, who has fallen out of the action lately to focus on humor and baseball, could come back, and the lovely Jo could ramp up her efforts [...]

  11. Sadly, this piece of trash only wants more attention, and you'd be giving her that. It's one thing to oppose this war, heck my own mother opposes this war. It's another to get on a national stage and denounce your own country during a time of war. I cannot print the things I wish on this woman, and others like her, Sarandon, Michael Moore, etc. Thank God these people are not in charge of protecting us.
