Allan C. Kelly, The Skipper

Allan C. Kelly ... "The Skipper" from Barking Moonbat Early Warning System ... has died.

I'm at a loss for words.

Almost.

He was quite passionate about his blogging. And about his country. He was quite opinionated, but I agreed with him ... most of the time.

But that's not what was important.

What's important is that he made an impact.

We know he was here.

He left a mark.

And we're all the better for it.

  1. I just wanted to say Allan really touched me and I really liked that "war horse" as he called himself. I talked to him last on Wed. 5/30/07 and was growing concerned b/c I had not heard from him. The police called me at work. I only knew Allan 2 months-we had just helped him secure a new position here in St. Louis b/c he was an AMAZING Oracle DBA!!! A great guy to just shoot the breeze with. I really enjoyed Allan and was so upset when the police called. I know he was dealing with a lot of pain with his upcoming back surgery and I would make him talk to me when he went & down the steps at his townhouse b/c of the medicine his Dr. had him on. I prayed for him a lot-he was a very genuine person and we spoke of his two sons and the bait & tackle shop he would open someday, etc. I was so sorry to hear he had died and I just wanted his family to know how wonderful I thought Allan was. We just really clicked & I cared about him. I am sorry for your loss. I loved talking to him. So much texture-just a lot to share.
