- Out of Africa
Best Picture (1985)
Not the dullest movie I've seen. But, probably in the top ten. - Patton
#89 Top 100 (1998)
Best Picture (1970)
This is a great film. I know, they tried to make out Patton to be a flawed character. But it doesn't matter. - Pinocchio
#2 Animation
Actually, I didn't see what the big deal was. I did wonder about the goldfish in the water bowl in the stomach of the whale, though. - Platoon
#83 Top 100 (1998)
#86 Top 100 (2007)
Best Picture (1986)
Not that good of a film. - Psycho
#18 Top 100 (1998)
#14 Top 100 (2007)
This was scary. And filmmakers could learn a thing or two about how to do a slasher scene. You think you see a naked Janet Leigh stabbed in the shower. You don't. Knife never touches skin, and you don't really see that much skin. Scary isn't what you see, it's what you imagine. Jaws showed the same thing years later, when problems with the mechanical shark wouldn't let the viewer see the shark. Hitchcock knew how to scare you. That's why Psycho works. - Pulp Fiction
#95 Top 100 (1998)
#94 Top 100 (2007)
#7 Gangster movie
A jumbled mess. Didn't think it would ever end. It was like the clocks were all stopped at the same time. (Yes, I know: it's a myth.) - Raging Bull
#24 Top 100 (1998)
#4 Top 100 (2007)
#1 Sports movie
Saw it when it came out. Never desired to see it again. Oh, it was okay. But not more than okay. - Raiders of the Lost Ark
#60 Top 100 (1998)
#66 Top 100 (2007)
This rocked. Remember when Indiana Jones was teh awesome? This movie is why. - Rain Man
Best Picture (1988)
Okay, I admit it. There is a Tom Cruise movie that I liked. - Rear Window
#42 Top 100 (1998)
#48 Top 100 (2007)
#3 Mystery
Jimmy Stewart and Alfred Hitchcock? You know this is a winner!
