The "Best" Movies: Recap, part 20

I'm giving a rundown of the "best" movies (details about the list are here). I've done 190 of 222 so far. Now, another 10:
  • The Pride of the Yankees
    #3 Sports movie
Pretty good movie. Gary Cooper plays Lou Gehrig. Babe Ruth plays Babe Ruth.
  • The Public Enemy
    #8 Gangster movie
James Cagney pushes a grapefruit into Mae Clarke's face. Great film.
  • The Searchers
    #96 Top 100 (1998)
    #12 Top 100 (2007)
    #1 Western
John Wayne looks for his niece. Good film. Not as good as "Stagecoach," but very good film.
  • The Shawshank Redemption
    #72 Top 100 (2007)
The best film based on the a Stephen King book (and King's best book). Yes, it stars Tim Robbins, but it's a great film anyway. And, yes, Robbins is perfect as Andy.
  • The Silence of the Lambs
    #65 Top 100 (1998)
    #74 Top 100 (2007)
    Best Picture (1991)
Third movie to win awards for Picture, Directory, Actor, and Actress. It's good. Very, very good.
  • The Sixth Sense
    #89 Top 100 (2007)
    What a twist!
  • The Sound of Music
    #55 Top 100 (1998)
    #40 Top 100 (2007)
    Best Picture (1965)
It's an okay movie with some songs that you know. Those songs are a few of my favorite things.
  • The Sting
    Best Picture (1973)
Saw this one when it came out. It was teh awesome!
  • The Ten Commandments (1956)
    #10 Epics
Saw this on TV not more than, oh, maybe 20 times. Good film.
  • The Thief of Bagdad
    #9 Fantasy
Good stunt work, but not all that great of a film.
That's 200. Only a couple more lists to finish up. 10 more coming up soon.
