Rick Sanchez: We're all the same except that I'm better than you

I don't follow Rick Sanchez, a CNN guy, on the Twitter. Because I don't watch CNN. That's because the channel is overrun with left-wing nutcases. Not as bad as, say, NBC, but still pretty bad.

Not everyone at CNN is a barking moonbat, though. But, enough are that I don't waste time weeding through the lefties.

In fairness, Fox News has some goofy folks, as well. Some on the left, but some nutcases on the right, too. But not as many nutcases as other channels. So, when I watch news TV, it's usually Fox News.

Now, having said all that, I wouldn't have know about what Rick Sanchez said on the Twitter if it wasn't for Gwyn's Mom.

Here's the summary: Rick Sanchez is a douche bag, and thinks he's better than the folks at Fox News. He also denies that, so he's a lying douche bag.

Here's what he said:

if i didn't believe in doing right thing, i'd be rich anchoring at fox news

He followed that with:

do u know how much money i'd make if i'd sold out as hispanic and worked at fox news, r u kidding, one problem, looking in mirror

Seems that Huffington Post picked up on what he said, and he didn't like it:

ok im back, just saw huffpost. good story but headline wrong! i say i couldn't work there, im not criticizing those who do. never said that

about 8 hours ago from web

I'm not here to support Huffington Post, but Sanchez did say that he couldn't look at himself in the mirror if he worked at Fox News.

What about those that could? Are their standards lower? Does Sanchez think he's better than them because his standards are higher? Seems that way, doesn't it?

Somewhere, in the midst of all this, he said this:

i guess people really are essentially same.

12:29 AM Jul 25th from web

I assume he meant "people really are essentially all the same" and not "people really are essentially sane." If "all the same," then he's saying that, well, he's just like everybody else, except that he's better. Because he has higher standards than the Hispanics that work at Fox News.

Sounds like something a douche bag would say.

Oh, and he offered this:

wow, really getting heat from neocons and far right wing fox viewers for saying truth. must have hit nerve

about 8 hours ago from web

No, Sanchez didn't hit a nerve. But he did offer more proof that CNN hires douche bags that think they are better than others.

Will it affect me? No. Well, okay, it gives me something to blog about. Because, you know, it's fun calling left-wing douche bags "left-wing douche bags." Try it. See? Fun.

It won't impact my TV news viewing. I already don't watch left-wing douche bags.

But, if you watch CNN, it's okay; I'm just better than you.

This is a joke right? Fox has Glen Beck, O'Reiley, and Hannity. I haven't seen anyone on any other 24 hours news network that comes close to the insanity that those three spew every day. Hell Glen Beck literally agrees that Osama Bin Laden is the only hope the U.S. has in that he must attack us again, so that our government will properly protect us. Oh yeah and he says Obama is a racist then that he isn't saying he doesn't like white people, but that he is a racist. Seriously, Fox news is an entertainment show with no value whatsoever. That channel spews so much racial hate, and extreme views that it has become obvious that they are going the shock jock route.

Be honest in your blog man. Just because you agree more with Fox than you do CNN or MSNBC doesn't mean that it is any less of an entertainment network than they are. 24 hours news is BS, and we both know it.

It is painful to see blogs like this where portions of it are devoted to crying about a lost election. To be fair I don't really like blogs that don't have any real value. If you aren't blogging about how to fix programming errors, or publishing different types of writing, or something of value I don't see the point. The value of this blog to me is that I get to see how a fairly normal person on the other side things, and some of it is kind of funny.

What you should probably do is GET OVER IT man your party lost. The world didn't end, and the U.S. still exists. What bothers me most is that the right was in control, and their way failed. It is not up for debate it is fact the country was much worse off post Bush than previous to him being elected. Is it all the right's fault? Of course not, but a good bit of it is and they certainly didn't help. It is the left's turn, and while their way may not work either at least it is something different. It is sad when people see that the way they thought would work fails, and instead of being logical, and embracing a new idea they just go on about how their way really didn't fail. Me personally if what Obama is doing doesn't work out within a reasonable amount of time, the end of his first term, then I won't vote for him again, and I will seek out the next new idea until I find one that actually works. Either way I'm not going to pretend I'm an expert on how to run a country, or that I can predict the future. I'm going to take actual evidence as it becomes available and make informed decisions based on that. I'm certainly not going to listen to characters that are played by people on Fox who have zero credentials, and are qualified only to entertain, and talk on TV and radio. If you are interested in opinions rather than fact by all means keep watching Fox, or any other 24 hour news network. I'm just going to wait till ideas have time to work or fail before I make decisions about them. For the sake of the country I hope that Obama is making good decisions, but as yet no one actually knows if what he is doing is going to work or not, so I'm going to continue to wait and see rather then predict and speculate.

  2. First, thanks for having enough guts to leave your name this time.

Second, if you have a lot to say, get your own blog. They're free. I can help you set one up. Though, I always figured you were smart enough to follow the instructions at Blogger.com.

Next, I've been around long enough to have seen these failed ideas fail in the past, both in the US (to a smaller degree) and overseas. Witness the Soviet Union. I'm not interested to see if we hit the bottom of the cliff before saying the driver is going to drive off the cliff.

Next, my party lost? Dude, I'm not a Republican. If you read this little blog, you'd know that. The guy I voted for lost, but I'm not a member of his party. I've voted for Democrats when they had the better candidate for a particular office, but that's rare. That party has been heading in a downward spiral towards the likes of Obama for some time.

Finally, if you don't like what you read here, you could spend your time doing something useful instead of reading my little blog. I'm sure you could put your skills to good use.

  3. Heads up IE7 blows up when trying to respond. May just be my install, but it happens every time.

Not interested in blogging just thought the Fox news comment warranted a response. By your party I meant the one you voted for. Not downing all of your blog just the doom saying. I read your blog to pass time, and get some perspective on an actual person that believes differently than me. I hate 24 hour news networks, and Fox is the worst in my opinion. To be fair if a different network employed Glen Beck I would focus my hatred more on them. I really don't appreciate it when someone casually suggests that a massive attack on our country is the only hope that we have.

  4. "a massive attack on our country is the only hope that we have."

That's why I voted for Obama.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I actually LIKE Rick Sanchez, although only because he's comedy gold.
