The interview panel is ready to go...
Now, the first question...
What are you smoking and where can I get some?
I'm smoking these funny looking weeds growing in the woods behind my house. Just let me know when you'll be in Louisiana and I'll pick a few for you.
What's the greatest thing you ever read?
The Book of Proverbs.
So, what actually prompted your hiatus from blogging?
I lost perspective on things. I started letting my personal problems intermingle with blogging, and I no longer had a clear idea of what I was trying to accomplish. My writing became increasingly scatter-brained, and as my relationship with my girlfriend deteriorated, it became increasingly more depressed. Eventually I figured people didn't want to listen to me pout.
Next, we have two students from overseas that want to ask some questions. The first...
I am a journalist student from Finland. I would like to interview you as my schools assignment of the danish cartoons of Mohammed.
How do you see: are the people in the islamic countries marching against the published cartoons or against something else?
Let's put this stupid crap in perspective. Radical muslims kill christians just because they are christians. And they are flipping out about a stupid cartoon? They are doing the same thing American idiots do when they riot about a sports team winning a championship. They are using these cartoons as an excuse to act like animals, and just like rabid animals, they should be put down.
What did you felt when you first saw those cartoons?
I haven't seen them. I don't care that much about them. They're just stupid cartoons, and it wouldn't matter what was in them, it doesn't justify these animals' actions. It wouldn't matter to me if these were cartoon depictions of mohammed being taken anally by President Bush, it wouldn't justify the reaction.
Is it approvable that media makes fun of religion in the name of the freedom of speech?
Yes.
Is there something we could or should do to this situation?
Make sure your government supports any further military action connected with the Global War on Terror.
Tell me about yourself.
I am a former police officer, and single father of two little girls. I am very conservative, and opinionated. I believe our constitution is not a "living document." Jack Bauer is my hero, and I am sooooo hot!
And now, the second...
I'm a journalist student from Finland and I'd like to ask you a couple of questions, which are for my English assignment.
The questions are about the cartoons a Danish newspaper published last fall. The cartoons were about the Muslims' prophet called Muhammad, and he was presented for example with a bomb in his hat. Now the cartoons have aroused lots of violence and anger in the Islamic world, and even President Bush has disapproved of the decision to publish them, as they were considered insulting to the Muslims.
I respectfully disapprove of our president's disapproval. Our president should be telling these rabid animals, "If you don't stop we'll be sending the Marine Corp to pay you a visit and teach you the benefits of cultural tolerance."
First of all, who are you?
I am Arthur, King of the Britons and I have left Camelot in search of the Holy Grail! Just kidding. I am just a regular guy that likes sports, music, and I try to stay informed on current events. Oh yeah, and I am soooo hot.
Do you think it was right to publish the cartoons?
I think the press can publish any cartoons they want. I'd get pretty mad if they published a cartoon that makes fun of my religion...oh wait, they already have, but I choose not to read those rags, but I'm not going to whip my christian brethren into a murderous frenzy because of it.
Why did President Bush disapprove of the publishing, even though the freedom of the press is important in the US?
I don't believe that was President Bush. I think that was Senator Ted Kennedy in disguise. Honestly, I think he just listened to the wrong advisor. I think somebody must have told him that if he didn't publicly denounce the cartoons he would look like he is racist against muslims. I think when he saw these in private he laughed his ass off, and went running to Donald Rumsfeld and Condoleeza Rice to share the hilarity. They probably all had a good laugh and then formulated their public responses.
Should all Western countries, including the US, support Denmark?
That's a more complicated question than just a straight yes or no. I think we should support Denmark's right to allow a free press to publish stupid cartoons. I don't think we should support them if they are doing things that subvert our foreign policy.
Should the Danish people be afraid of terror attacks in their country?
Not afraid, just vigilant.
Are the cartoons going to start The Third World War?
No, the muslims already started it.
Is the world better off or worse off because of blogs?
I think the world is much better off. Now the flow of information isn't controlled as much by "Big Media" and anybody with something to say can say it. If it's worthy it'll catch on and find an audience.
What's the best thing you ever wrote?
The investigative report and subsequent arrest warrant that put a man in jail for molesting his daughter multiple times over a period of years.
What frightens you?
Liberals in power, spiders, and raising my children.
Have you missed blogging?
Everyday.
