The Following Takes Place Between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM

It's on!

8:02

Boom!
"Muslim community is our greatest asset"

8:03

Little brother is the President!

8:04

Concentration camps? Internment camps?

Somebody better call Jack Bauer.

Isn't Karen the lady that ran CTU last season?

8:05

In CTU. One of these new guys will be good. One will be bad. Unless they're both bad.

Chloe's got a boyfriend!

8:06

Wife says Morris (Maurice) is Chloe's ex. Is he?

8:07

Jack's back? Who saw that coming?

8:08

So, the whole Chinese thing from last season is explained away in one sentence? "President negotiated his release."

8:09

So, Jack withstood the Chinese torture? Now, he finds out Wayne Palmer's the President.

8:12

Jack speaks. "Audry. My daughter."

8:13

Wife wants to fast-forward. Darn TiVo won't show future programming. I want an upgrade!

8:17

It's back.

Karen is married to Bill?

8:18

Chloe's acting all tuff and stuff.

Yeah, Morris is Chloe's ex-. I forgot.

8:21

Chloe's working with her ex-. I'm trying to imagine that. The Chinese look better and better all the time.

8:22

Wayne calls Jack. "Thanks for getting your ass kicked for the last two years. Now go die."

8:23

Isn't that little weasel the weasel from Ghostbusters II?

8:25

The ACLU? Screw them!

8:27

Dying for something or dying for nothing.

8:28

Tick. tick. tick.

They're sure dragging this out.

Of course, it is supposed to be real-time. But last season, they threw the whole real-time thing out the window. I'm hoping they'll get back to it this year. But I kinda doubt it.

Drudge says they're going to nuke a city tomorrow night.

8:31

They're back.

8:35

Wonder if the kid turns out to be a terrorist.

8:37

Been waiting a long time.

Now they're aware of the trace, huh?

8:39

Darn it! The terrorist might actually go back on a deal? Who figured?

8:40

tick. tick. tick. tick.

8:42

Why didn't the Aflac commercial have the dude at the end? I miss the Aflac dude.

Wife has no idea who I'm talking about with the Aflac dude. Please don't tell me I'm the only one that recognizes the same guy at the end of the commercials? Except that silly SuperDuck commercial.

8:44

Back.

8:47

Ouch! That'll leave a mark!

8:48

Double-crossed by a terrorist. Imagine that.

8:50

See what you get when you negotiate with terrorists?

8:51

Told you it was the son! One for me!

Jack takes a bite out of crime.

8:53

tick tick tick tick

8:57

"Previously on 24"

8:59

"The Following Takes Place Between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM"

Rats in the sewer. Yeah, I meant the terrorists.

9:01

Jack steals a car.

When are they going to learn to listen to Jack?

9:02

Just listen to Jack, already. Dumbasses!

9:04

President's gonna need his brother's insurance.

9:07

So, Jack Bauer gets there first in a car? Ahead of choppers?

9:08

Strange noise. Must go see. And get hit on head with stick of wood.

9:09

Good to the last drop.

9:10

Terrorist watch Fox.

9:12

Just missed.

tick tick tick tick

9:16

President Brother's sister.

She's an attorney.

9:18

Everybody out. The terrorist's can wait. Sister's on the phone.

9:19

Start looking at old grandma's for blowing up buildings.

Wonder if the dude with Sister is going to be a bad guy.

Uh-oh! She's in love!

9:21

Nine minutes and they've identified bodies from an airstrike? Darn! They got good forensics.

9:23

Kissy kissy.

tick tick tick tick.

9:25

Cat knocks on the door and says she's hungry. She's a smart kitty. Knows to wait for a commercial.

9:27

Back.

9:28

Only needs a few minutes.

Wife has to go potty. TiVo holds the picture for us. We'll be a minute or two behind now, until the next commercial, when we catch up.

9:30

She's back. Now we got to back it up.

Is that Dr. Bashir from Deep Space Nine?

It is! I missed his name in the credits. Is he Alexander Siddig? Or Siddig El Fadil?

9:33

Jack's back. In full kick-ass mode.

Is Jack going soft? Or does he have a better perspective.

9:34

Bashir don't play.

9:35

tick tick tick

Fast forward. Now, we're caught back up on TiVo.

9:37

Back.

FBI got them a warrant.

9:39

Sister gets arrested.

9:40

Redneck neighbor kicks little terrorist's ass.

Oops. Terrorists got a gun. Gun beats fist.

9:41

Ahmed pulls gun on his buddy.

Okay, however it's pronounced.

tick tick tick tick

9:46

Back.

Jack and Dr. Bashir go after the guy in the vest.

9:48

Why doesn't Jack go after Fayid and let Bashir go after the bomber?

9:50

That's an ugly car.

Would you listen to Jack Bauer? Or argue and get your ass kicked?

9:51

Jack springs into action.

Jack kicks ass!

9:53

Maybe they're believing Jack, now.

9:55

Hmmm. Jack Bauer was right. Imagine that. Didn't they watch last season?

9:56

tick tick tick

  1. WOW!

That is dedication...Is that the plot line of the TV series 24?

If not, hell if it is, you may want to pursue some alternative lifestyle...

  3. [...] If you believe that 24 is your own personal crack supply, and you missed the premiere tonight, you will find a recap of the show tonight at Basil’s Blog. Kudos to Basil, I know how hard it is to keep track like that, from blogging the election coverage in November. [...]

  4. Yes, Morris is Chloe's ex. He was brought in toward the end of last season and I think Bill mentioned him being her ex. Just a blurb, could have been missed - except by a woman. Women remember everything ;)
