... and Cat...
... from Elephant In My Coffee
They're ready, and it looks like the interview panel is ready...
First question?...
Do you think that Eli might find a mate someday?
He might... but I think that coffee cup might get a little crowded!
How do you stop a charging elephant?
Take away his credit card?
Who is your favorite author?
I don't have one in particular. I have enjoyed all of Dan Brown's books though.
I don't have a favorite author, but I do like Steven King, Patricia Cornwell and Jan Karon. You can tell I don't read books looking for a deep meaningful experience. I read just to entertain myself. I don't want it to be a chore. My life has enough chores. :)
Who's the greatest political leader in the world today?
Our current administration has a few that come to mind. But I would have to say that the greatest political leader of our Era is Ronald Reagan, without a doubt. If I need to explain this to you, see Greta's next question.
Uhhhh..... Eli
What do elephants do for laughs?
Watch CNN or kick the crap out of donkeys.
They tell people jokes! (Or they read liberal blogs, either way)
Do you ever feel like you are surrounded by idiots?
Constantly
Only when I walk out my front door.
Do you know when to hold 'em? And know when to fold 'em?
I do! You're talking about laundry, right? :)
I definitely know how to hold them. I've never tried "folding" them per se. Besides, who wants all those creases?
How can you tell when an elephant has been in your refrigerator?
Look for elephant tracks in the butter
Describe the perfect pet.
One that feeds itself, cleans up after himself, doesn't bark in the middle of the night (also good qualities in a husband)
A liberal moonbat that knows it's place makes an amusing pet for some. Seriously, I'm an animal lover of huge proportions. I have many cats and many dogs and even some lizards. Any animal can be trained to be a good pet if you take the time to work with them. Think it might work on the libs?
Have you ever spilled coffee on your keyboard while blogging?
No. But I bet you have!!
Have I ever *not* spilled coffee on my keyboard? My keyboard bears the scars of many many hours of use. I'm sure there is some fried rice down in between the keys as well as some smears of chocolate from use by my rugrats. I clean it on a regular basis, but I sure wouldn't want to put it under a microscope. Ew.
Why do elephants have grey skin?
To keep their insides together.
What's the scariest thing that's happened to you (that you can laugh about now)?
I fell on the train tracks when a train was coming. Somehow I ended up on a different track than I remember falling on - don't know how I got there. I don't know that I can laugh about it though, hehe, more of a cold sweat thing.
Having my child wander off when she was about 3 years old. We were in a crowded convention center and she pulled free of my hand and took off. Sheer panic. She was located about 20 feet away talking to someone in a dog costume.
Would you rather spend a week with Robin Hood or with Sherlock Holmes?
Holmes. He's probably got access to better bathroom facilities.
Robin Hood..... specially if it's the naked Kevin Costner variety.
What did the cat say to the elephant?
Meow!
Do you think that most bloggers take themselves too seriously?
Yes.
Most definitely. I look at blogging as fun. Bloggers that feel they are under pressure to blog and have a great post everyday are missing the whole point, in my opinion. :)
Who is your favorite musician / favorite band?
At the moment I am really into James Blunt
My all time favorite is Rush by a large margin. I also really like Van Morrison and Led Zeppelin.
The first Darren? Or the second Darren?
The first one, without question. Are you trying to show our age?
Darren #1 by a long shot. Yes, I'm old.
First, thanks to both Cat and Deb for agreeing to the interview.
Second, sorry for all the elephant jokes. I was suddenly in third grade again.
Finally, thanks for a great interview. We really appreciate it.
Next weekend, we have fmragtops of Fmragtops Spews and The Gunn Nutt from Semper Gratus! scheduled.
