PDA Friendly

Okay, truth be told, I got a PDA. No, I'm not sure why.

Okay, I do know why. To use for work at the Evil Corporation. And I use it at work. I keep my appointments and keep meeting notes and such. And it synchronizes with my PC. At least, it synchronizes with my personal PC just fine. I'm jumping through the hoops to get it to work with the PC at work. Others use theirs with no issues, so I expect to have no issues.

Anyway, having a PDA, I've done extensive testing at home. Including using the browser. Internet Explorer Mobile. Not to be confused with Internet Explorer Tuscaloosa, I assume.

Regardless, when I viewed this little blog, I was sorely disappointed. So, I went to work.

I have modified a WordPress theme (the "Classic" theme) to display on a PDA. (Much easier than modifying a Blogger theme, that's for sure!) It will also display on a regular computer monitor. But it works on that 240x320 screen my PDA has.

So, Basil's Blog is now PDA friendly. If you have a PDA, try the PDA Version theme. Or, if you're just curious, try it out. You can select the theme by clicking here.

If you have any problems using your PDA with this theme, let me know.

UPDATE: There's an easier way. Some guy at The Alliance HQ has information about a WordPress plugin simplifies things. He (I) got the tip from Eric's Grumbles Before The Grave.

  1. That's SO extremely cool. I will check it out on my HP PDA tomorrow morning. Thanks!
