Quick Notes and Open Trackbacks 2006-06-12

Travel

The Wife and I made a quick trip to Florida this weekend. We're still there. More later. Maybe. She's started reading the blog, and I need to think just a little more careful before I post stuff. Not sure how long her reading the blog will last. I'm thinking another week or two, then back to normal.

Catfish

Lost to Rome last night. That leaves them six games out with seven games left in the first half. Still, a good finish would be nice going into the second half.

Interviews

I'll be updating the list of blog interviews in the next 24 hours. New volunteers and scheduling some that have been receiving questions.

Now, today's picnic basket of items from my blogroll.

  • Tommy (Striving For Average) has a wrap-up of the week's news.

  • Laura Long Collins (Survival Theory) says Jihadists never stop.

  • Beth is suffering an all-too familiar situation.

  • William Teach (Pirate's Cove) thinks speaking English is a good thing.

  • Kender went to Yearly Kos.

  • Jake Jacobsen (Freedom Folks) says you don't fix a problem by ignoring it.

  • Kit Jarrell (Euphoric Reality) has an exclusive interview with Ilario Pantano.

  10. Haditha, the military counterpart to the Duke Rape case?...

First off, I have tremendous respect for military justice, more than I have even for death cases in our own justice system (which I am proud to say I worked on). Still, maybe the Haditha case, and certainly the accompanying brouhaha is pretty similar ...
