Fantastic Four

FantasticFour

Yes, it's White Trash Wednesday. Yes, Cousin Red posted today and I get the day off. But the wife and I are back from a few days away and I wanted to thank some folks.

Pictured at the right, you see TJ (top left), phin (top right), Beth (bottom left) and moehawk (bottom right) took over here while we were away. The Fantastic Four brought the quality of this little blog up so much, I'm almost depressed with the thought of trying to live up to what you've experienced the last few days. So I won't even try.

To these four: I owe you each a huge debt. Thank you.

UPDATE:
Why the names with those particular images?

Beth is is actually easy. To assign to a picture. And for two reasons. First, she's a chick. Hey, what can I say? Next, think about it: The Invisible Woman; writer's block? Get it? Okay. Not very clever. But it works for me.

moehawk has been battling ... and clobbering ... the Nicotine Monster. Therefore, he's Ben "The Thing" Grimm. You know, "It's clobbering time!" Again, works for me.

TJ as Johnny Storm, "The Human Torch." I mean, really, with his hot links (not :hot-links" but links that are hot) on NIF, updated throughout the day with blazing speed, who else could it be?

phin is, of course, Mr. Fantastic. Now, in reality, all four are fantastic. But phin's humor, his artistic ability, and his ability to mimic me (he always gets several e-mails/comments thanking "basil" for the link or the post when he covers for me) ... What can I say, but phin is fantastic. Or phantastic. I'm not sure which.

Oh, and thanks for letting me help out!

PS - I always thought of myself more "The Thing"ish ... but I'll take it!

  5. Movie: Fantastic Four

I have to admit when I walked into the movie theatre I wasn't expecting the world from this movie. The reviews were mixed, of course with all the negatives coming from reviewers who always shoot down "popcorn" films. Naturally, these...
