Catfish: Losing Streak Ends, Winning Streak Begins

Go Catfish! It was a long, hard, seven-game losing streak. The key word in that sentence is "was." Tonight, the Catfish finally broke through and beat the Savannah Sand Gnats (Nationals), 5-3.

One of our players, first baseman Dan Batz, went 1-for-3 with a walk, scored the winning run and drove in the insurance run. Our other player, Lucas May, was hitless tonight, but all smiles afterwards. Like Dan, Luke is a real team player and is happier going hitless and the team winning than having a good individual game but losing. They are those kind of players, and the wife and I are fortunate to be "sponsoring" them.

The fourth game of the series is tomorrow, and the Catfish can salvage a series split with a win.

Go Catfish, Go Catfish, Go Catfish!

see! all they needed was for me to do a little Catfish blogging, and they all thought "let's win one for that guy with the bad haircut name from somewhere in Northern California!"

    and they did.

    you're welcome, Catfish fans!

  3. well, i thought it was good for a laugh, at least!

just for experimental purposes, try posting about the Giants, and let's see how they do against the Dodgers.

if it works, i'll keep posting Catfish news here. well, heck, i'll probably keep following the Fish anyway, now that you've got me hooked.

    bad pun intended.

  4. oh yeah...what i meant by posting Catfish news "here" was here in CA on my site, not on your site while you're busy reporting your home team's baseball news.

sorry if there was any confusion!
