Catfish: Winning Streak Continues, Now At Two

Go Catfish! The winning streak is now at two! The Catfish earned a split with the Savannah Sand Gnats (Nationals) by an 8-4 score.

Once again, the first run and the winning run (the 5th run tonight) were scored by Dan Batz, one of the players the wife and I are "sponsoring." Dan went 1-for-3 with a walk and 2 runs scored. His team-leading average is up to .295 for the season. Our other player, Lucas May, went 1-for-4 with a walk and scored a run.

Afterward, the whole team was was all smiles. Winning feels good. A winning streak feels really good.

Tomorrow is an off day. Dan's going golfing. Luke's has a guest in town. I'll be home at a decent hour. Thursday, it's the Hickory Crawdads (Pirates) in town for a four-game series.

The winning streak continues.

  1. Nice batting helmet on that kid.

But I didn't think they used helmets in the '40s...

  2. OUCH! That one hurts!

By the way, I was born during the Eisenhower administration, not the Truman administration.
