Catfish pitcher Chris Malone pitched 8 perfect innings, allowed a single hit and an unearned run in the 9th, and Columbus won the second game of the four-game series in Greenville tonight, 3-1.The Bombers (Red Sox) won the first game Monday night, 7-2. Tonight, it was a pitcher's duel, with the Catfish scoring the winning run in the 8th inning.
The two players the wife and I "sponsor" contributed to the win. Dan Batz went 3-for-3 with an RBI. Lucas May, while hitless, scored a run.
