Catfish 6, Greensboro 5

Go Catfish! The Catfish moved above .500 for the first time this season with a 6-5 come-from-behind win over the Greensboro Grasshoppers (Marlins) tonight. The 4-3 second half record is good enough for second place, a game behind division leader Greenville.

After spotting Greensboro a 5-0 lead, the Catfish fought back, finally tying the game in the eighth inning. Dan Batz led off the ninth with a double, was sacraficed to third, and scored on a single up the middle to clinch the win.

Game two of the four-game series is tomorrow night.

  1. Congrats on the Cats at .500! That rocks! My Whitecaps are at .429...Sigh.

  2. Last night's bottom-of-the-ninth win (sounds familiar, huh) brought the Whitecaps up to .500 in the second half, third place and two games out. Congrats!
