More Spam Comments

Well, this little blog must be coming of age. More comment spam. And it's starting to irritate me.

Today, I found two instances. Both had those generic comments and a link to another site. The up side is that it isn't the dreaded "hamster sex" type of comment spam. Nope. This is the one that links to a Spanish gambling Web site.

Now, you big bloggers are saying I've nothing to complain about, since I only have had a total of three of these, and you big boys have had hundreds or thousands.

Well, I know that, if this blog continues to grow, that's a possibility.

One IP Address [66.208.205.219] is from Comcast Business Communications, Inc. The other [64.5.152.195] is from WHRO-TV in Norfolk, VA.

Oh, I still haven't heard back from the folks at CableOne, who I contacted about that first bit of comment spam. I need to follow up on that.

I think I'm going to turn this one over to David. He's the real SOB in the family. He's not the nicest guy in the world, but he'll get their attention.

  1. Basil, I received my first spam lately, but mine came in the trackbacks and were disgusting and many in number. I deleted them and didn't bother to write down the IP numbers, but will from now on.
