Catfish Break Out Of Slump, Beat Savannah

The Columbus Catfish bounced back from last night's loss to beat the Savannah Sand Gnats 7-1 tonight.

Falling behind 1-0 in the fourth, the Catfish used three hits, a walk, and a wild pitch to punch across four runs in the fifth, highlighted by Russ Mitchell's league-leading 16th double of the season. The Catfish added two more in the sixth and another run in the eighth to take a 7-1 lead.

David Pfeiffer pitched three innings of one-hit ball to save the game for starter Cory Wade, who won his second game of the season.

Tomorrow night, game three of the series with Savannah.
