WTW: Revenge Of The Sith

White Trash WednesdaysLast weekend, Basil went and saw that Hitchhiker movie. He'd been talking about it for the longest time. He's a big fan of the Hitchhiker's Guide.

Long time ago, when he was living in Gainesville (that woman he was married to back then was going to the University of Florida). On the public TV channel, they showed the program "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy." He almost wet himself watching it, he laughed so hard. There was six episodes and it was all British and done cheap and he said it was wonderful.

Later, he bought himself the books and had a good time reading them. He went all crazy for the Hitchhiker's Guide. He still is a little too much into it. In fact, if you check back, the name of his first post on his blog is "42." If you haven't seen the movie or read the books, you won't get it.

Anyway, last weekend, he posted a review that folks who hadn't read the books or seen the old stuff wouldn't get. I told him it was a bad idea. What a dumbass.

So, what's the point of all this? Simple. He goes overboard on movies and stuff. He don't know how to do stuff in moderation. He needs to work on that. He could take a lesson from me in that.

For example, the new Star Wars movie, Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith, is out soon, and I'm getting ready for it. In fact, I'm ready for it now:

  1. Something about a grown man in a diaper wielding a lightsabre makes me want to strangle George Lucas.

Today I'm posting Round the Reader a little behind schedule. Why? Because I'm not going to work today. Why? Because I have nothing to accomplish? Why? Because I have no job. Life is good when you have less that twenty...

  4. Tom:
I understand. I step away for one day a week and stuff like this happens.

I'm not sure who is the most wrong in these situations: the person being photographed, the photographer, the person who releases the pictures into the wild (the Internet), or those that post them on other sites.

There's plenty of blame to go around. Including anyone who sees it here and grabs it for posting on another site. It'll happen.

I shall go pour bleach into my eyes now.

  11. That's a redneck Jedi, alright. His handle is a maglight and his saber "blade" is the size of a PVC pipe. Tsk.

Incidentally, that ain't the same fella what was playing 'Redneck Twister' in that picture from WTW two weeks ago, is it? My britches dang near looked as bad as his after I seen that nastiness. Ech
