Search Engine Disappointments X

Yes, it's been a while since I looked at the search engine queries that people have used to get to this little blog. There have been a couple of reasons for this.

When I was doing this on a regular basis a couple of months back, it did something which is sort of funny, but then again, not really funny. My blogging about odd results caused those very results to appear again in the search engine results. I was Google-bombing myself. Sometimes that's good. Sometimes, it's not. For instance...

Being a top hit for:

isn't exactly something I'd put on the old resumé. On the other hand, I have no problem being a top hit for:

Anyway, what surprised me and was the inspiration for this was that,
Sunday morning 90% of the hits were from search engine hits.

I had to look again at what I saw. 90% of the visitors were there
because of search engine hits. Yes, the crazies were up and at 'em this
weekend. That sometimes means some very interesting e-mails from folks
that have never been here before.

The good news: We didn't get a bunch of off-the-wall e-mails this weekend.

The bad news: Since I've blogged about these search engine phrases,
I've increased the odd that they'll show up higher on search engine
hits.

And the vicious cycle continues.
