Catfish Fall, 2-1

The Columbus Catfish dropped another game tonight. The Lexington Legends (Astros) came from behind to beat the Catfish, 2-1.

The Catfish scored in the 1st inning when RF Lucas May singled to left field, driving in CF Bridger Hunt, who had led off the game with a single left. It was May's 62nd RBI of the season, tops on the current Catfish roster.

Catfish starter Joseph Jones held Lexington scoreless into the 6th inning, when Legends SS Thomas Manzella hit a solo shot with one out. In the 7th, Lexington took the lead when LF Ryan Reed hit a solo home run, making it 2-1.

The Catfish came close to tying it in the 8th inning when SS Ivan De Jesus singled, and advanced to second on 2B Travis Denker's grounder to second. After DH Tony Harper poppeds out, Lucas May singled on a ground ball to short. De Jesus tried to score, but was thrown out at home for out three.

In the 9th, C Conor McGeehan reached on a two-out infield single, but was left stranded, and the Catfish had lost their 11th out of their last 14 games.

The Catfish out-hit Lexington, but stranded 8 runner on base, 3 in scoring position.
