Catfish Fall To Lexington, Again

For the third night in a row, the Columbus Catfish dropped a close game to the Lexington Legends (Astros).

The Catfish scored first, putting a run across in the 5th inning. CF Bridger Hunt hit a ground ball to left field, scoring LF Adam Godwin, who had reached on a fielder's choice, stole second, and went to third on a wild pitch.

Lexington scored two in the 6th on a sacrifice fly and a bases-loaded walk, and two more in the 8th on a two-run triple.

Mario Alvarez (L, 5-8) and Kale Garrison each allowed on two hits each, but the Legends made them count. The Catfish eeked out 5 hits, all singles. Bridger Hunt was 2-for-4, and 2B Travis Denker, 3B Eduardo Perez, and Adam Godwin all had a hit apiece.

The series with Lexington concludes Wednesday. The Catfish return home Thursday for an 8-game home stand.
