Blog Warriors

When the Internet connection here was lost Sunday morning, the Great Blog War with Sortapundit was coming to a close. With this little blog nearly incapacitated, others in the War continued the fight, and at 12:49 PM (BST) on March 28, Sortapundit conceded.

The War was hard-fought, and Sortapundit
made advances on several fronts. However, some strategies on our side
paid off. The deciding factor, however, was the number of blogs that
joined the fray on our side. I'd like to take a moment to issue a
special thanks to:

With such support, the outcome was not in doubt.

Sortapundit was a worthy foe. Numbers did him in.

Speaking of numbers, Ogre did research once the outcome was official, and found some interesting results. And the master of the Pirate Thong, Pirate's Cove, finished in the Top 10 in 5 of the 7 search phrases. Plus he's tops for Pirate Thong. In overall rankings of the search phrases, almost every member of the Blog Warriors made an impact, some very impressive.

There is no way I can express my appreciation for everyone's support in the battle. Somebody asked the question: "Who won?" Well, we did.

One other item we must cover. Just like Americans have done after every war, we've extended a hand to our former opponents, and Sortapundit is joining our forces as an ally. And, in order to be a good ally to Sortapundit, I have assisted in his efforts to save his car, and therefore, his job. And I encourage you to help also. He has the details here. And, if enough help, a charity will benefit. And you can help pick the charity.

Also, one bit of unfinished business. What do we do now? What are your suggestions? Take on another group?

You see, we need to keep in mind that we are international in scope. We have conservatives, liberals, libertarians, Christians, athiests, new bloggers, experienced bloggers, Blacks, Whites, men, women, young, old, individuals, groups, families... We are the Blogosphere. And we have a great power.

  3. You could always try to become the first page in Google History to have all 10 first page results pointing back to a single website.

  6. Keep the ideas coming. Remember, we've got that diversity that they say is missing from the Blogoshpere.

  7. Chalk another victory for the Americans. Why won't all the rest of the world just simply surrender to our Nation building? You know it wouldn't hurt and they might not have to eat anymore crumpets. Free donuts for everyone!

Oh, we should take on Democratic Underground, but I have yet to figure out how to do that.

  8. Yeah. We rock!

Oh, I think some of the Blog Warriors might be fans of DU. Some are thinking they'll implode.

  11. i'm not sure if Ducks Unlimited is just a California thing, or if it exists wherever duck hunters live

  12. but out here in Cal-i-for-ni-yay, it's a bunch of redneck Republican duck-hunters trying to save wetlands from development or draining so the ducks have a place to live.
    until they get shot!
i can get behind that kind of environmentalism!
